Products Return policy
Our return policy lasts 7 days after you received your goods from the courier. After this period, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund.
Please note that we apply a return fee of R150 if the product was already excepted by the customer/buyer from the couriers. But you won’t have to pay anything extra: this fee will be deducted directly from your refund!
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, undamaged, and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. To complete your return, we will need you to notify us by email at support@lafriquestudios.co.za . We will require a receipt or proof of purchase with the order number, the item numbers that are being returned with photographic proof of damages if any or the reason why the product is being returned.
There are certain situations where refunds are not possible:
- Any item not an Original LAFRIQUE studios product or in its original condition from which the item is damaged for reasons, not due to our error or shipping.
- Any item that is returned more than 7 days after delivery has been received.
- Any item bought on the final sale or clearance products( thus any damage on the product will be clear and visible to the client before purchase).
- Any item that is made as a personal/ personalized product such as custom posters, digital drawings ( PET drawings, client portrait drawings, client custom orders, Print studio category such as Photobooks, Canvas prints, photo prints, customized photograph products etc. Unless these products are faulty due to production or damaged in transit. We will gladly ensure client satisfaction and will automatically qualify for our customer product replacement policy.
Refunds for returning a faulty product.
Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund and the reason.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed by means of an electronic bank transfer only, of the amount of your returned items – minus the R150. return fee – thus will automatically be applied to your store credit or original method of payment. Please note that the shipping fees will not be refunded.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your bank or payment type card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. NOTE: There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at support@lafriquestudios.co.za so that we can help resolve any problems.
Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately, sale items cannot be refunded.
Exchanges
At this time, we don’t have a direct exchange process. LAFRIQUE Studios are online store only. If you feel you need to swap the item for another, you can simply request a return on the item you wish to change to get a full refund/minus courier costs/ shipping fees as store credit to your product that you wish to return. You will receive a store voucher/ coupon code which is used when you place a new order, or just contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
NOTE:
LAFRIQUE Studios is a niche boutique company that prides itself on crafting bespoke, made-to-order products tailored to each client’s unique specifications. Due to the personalise nature of our creations, we have implemented a policy that allows only one exchange per order. This means that once you receive your custom piece, you may exchange it once if necessary, but multiple exchanges or requests for refunds are not permitted.
Each item produced by LAFRIQUE Studios is a unique work of art, meticulously designed and handmade by skilled artisans. Our commitment to quality and individuality ensures that every piece not only meets but exceeds our clients’ expectations. However, because of the customised and exclusive nature of our products, it is crucial for clients to carefully consider their choices before finalising their orders.
In the event that an exchange is needed, our team will work closely with you to understand your requirements and make the necessary adjustments to ensure your complete satisfaction with the final product. Please note that exchanges are subject to the availability of materials and the feasibility of the requested modifications.

Shipping policy
Right after you’ve placed your order, you will receive a confirmation email. Our payments are hosted by secure gateway companies such as PayPal for us dollars($) and Netcash and PAYFLEX for South African (RAND) payments.
All our products are manufactured on demand when ordering from lafriquestudios.co.za, in order to ensure great quality, minimize environmental waste, and also be environmentally conscious on the products we produce. Therefore, custom wall art poster orders take 3-4 business days to be processed before being shipped out. Orders for all wood gallery art frames are processed within 7-10 business days before being shipped out.
When we’ve packaged your order and it leaves our studio warehouse, we notify you by email and give you the tracking number from our preferred tracking partner Courier Guy. Once your order is changed from processing to complete, we cannot change or cancel your order. To reroute your order to a new address please do so no more than 2 (two) business days after the product was ordered from LAFRIQUE Studios. Changes to your product in case of inaccurate ordering, please do so not more than 1 business day from when the order was placed.
Completed products will be handed to our shipping department. It will take approximately (72 hours) depending on region to region and major city centers. All major provinces included. We use the services of DHL international shipments and Courier Guy and fastway for south African shipments.
Please note shipping time cannot be guaranteed at peak periods such as “The Christmas season”.
NOTE : (Studio production are closed on festive holidays *25 December – 3 January* ) and National SA Public holidays.

International orders
We currently offer all our products internationally and can be ordered online choose “US” currency to purchase with PayPal.
International orders are shipping can take 7 to 12 business days to arrive. Delays for international orders can, of course, vary from country to country.
For international orders, DHL calculates your order via the size of the product and weight.
Note: that you will be responsible for all duties and taxes charged to you at delivery. Unfortunately, we are unable to supply estimated duties, taxes, and customs charges as this information will vary by country.
Please note that if your order is refused at customs, you will be held responsible for charges incurred in shipping the package. If your order is returned to us because you did not collect it at the carrier’s office or at the post office, the package will be returned to us and you will be charged a shipping and handling fee of $25.
